My name is Andy Dix and I make furniture in a small workshop near the market town of Hay-on-Wye.

I began my working life as a mechanical engineer, drawn to this throughout my childhood by a love of making things and pulling things apart to understand how they work. Then I reached a point in my career when I no longer had a tangible product at the end of a day and I realised it was time to change.

For fifteen years now I have been able to enjoy the satisfaction and pleasure of standing back at the end of a job and knowing that I made that.

Most of the pieces of furniture that I make are private commissions, some of which can be seen in the portfolio section of the site. Please get in touch by email or phone if you have a project that you'd like to discuss.

More recently I have produced a few collections in the hope of making top quality furniture that is more affordable. Because these items are all made to order it is no problem to alter sizes, colours or materials to suit your particular wishes. In this way you can have a genuinely bespoke item of furniture at a great price.
